Katharina Ptack is a doctoral researcher at the University of Bayreuth in Germany. She submitted her PhD at the University of Bayreuth with the title “An intervention study concerning the topic health. Evaluation of a cooperative planning process in the Health.edu study.” Katharina’s research interests are in the field of empirical school sport and PE research. At the AIESEP World Congress in New York she will present her research on “Health.edu – relationship between development of teachers‘ beliefs and students‘ competences concerning the topic health.” Her recommendation for the Young Scholar Award came from Hans Peter Brandl-Bredenbeck.

“In the following years I would like to contribute to the development of the AIESEP-family regarding the topics networking, dissemination and promotion of young scholars: First of all, in my opinion, it’s a very urgent task to deepen international network to share knowledge regarding the promotion of high quality research in the areas of PE, physical activity and sport pedagogy across the lifespan. Furthermore, I would like to contribute to the development and impact of the international sport pedagogy through the dissemination of high quality research. Finally, the promotion of young scholars is a very important motivation for me.”
