Sam Houston State University (USA) is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate level courses in physical education methodology including adapted physical education and fitness education. Other courses may include motor development, motor learning, and functional kinesiology. This faculty member will be evaluated in the areas of teaching, research, and service. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in program, departmental, college and university activities. Lastly, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in CAEP/SHAPE America accreditation activities. An Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Kinesiology-Physical Education Teacher Education or related field is desired. ABD considered, but doctoral degree must be conferred within 1 year of hire date.
