AIESEP 2017—-AWARD WINNERS AT AIESEP 2017

AIESEP FELLOWS 2017:   During the annual conference, AIESEP recognizes the research excellence of leading scholars in physical education, physical activity and sport pedagogy. It is the chance to say thank you for the excellence in their professional and scholarly practice across the lifespan and for their support of AIESEP during that time.  The three scholars inducted as AIESEP Fellows in Guadeloupe were:

 

  • Dr Sylvain Turcotte, University of Sherbrook, Canada
  • Dr Deborah Tannehill, University of Limerick, Ireland
  • Dr Arja Sääkslahti, University of Jyväskylä, Finland

AIESEP Young Scholars 2017: Two early career researchers were recipient of the Young Scholar Award.

  • Magnus Ferry, a doctoral student from Umea, Sweden presented on his research entitled “Pre-service physical education teachers’ conceptions on the subject and profession – changes over time”
  • Aiko Mohwald, a doctoral students from the Technical University Dortmund, Germany presented her work entitled “Provoking Uncertainty in Physical Education – a qualitative analysis of students’ handling”

AIESEP Poster Awards 2017:  A central feature of each AIESEP conference is the highly competitive poster award sessions.  This year there were 59 posters submitted for evaluation at the conference.  The following winners accepted their certificates at the closing ceremony:
