11 September 2017, Headingely Campus

The Institute for Sport, Physical Activity and Leisure is pleased to announce a forthcoming conference to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sheila Scraton’s book, Shaping Up To Womanhood: Gender and Girls’ Physical Education.

In recognition of the diverse reach of this significant work, we invite postgraduate, early career and established scholars to attend this day of celebration and stimulating discussion.

There will be an opportunity for selected papers to be included in a special journal edition.
