Call for proposals: Daryl Siedentop Legacy Special Issue

2021 marked the passing of Daryl Siedentop, who was recognized around the globe for his scholarly excellence and profound impact on the disciplines of physical education and sport pedagogy. This call is for article proposals for a proposed special issue that attempts to capture the impact of Dr. Siedentop’s contributions to these fields and serve as a fitting dedication to the legacy that he created.

This special themed issue will provide an opportunity for professionals and scholars in the areas of pedagogy, science, health and sports, to present, discuss, and reflect on Dr. Siedentop’s impact on various aspects of the profession. The special issue welcomes potential contributions to his impact on one of the following themes: Physical education teacher education; Research in physical education or sport pedagogy; Physical education practice in schools; Physical education or physical activity policy; Physical education at the international arena. Articles will be a maximum of 20 pages in length and can be empirical, theoretical, or narratives of his influence.

Interested authors are asked to submit a proposed title, list of authors and affiliations and 150 word description of the content of the article to the guest editors: Tristan Wallhead (wallhead@uwyo.edu) and Shiri Ayvazo (shiri.ayvazo@mx.kinneret.ac.il). All received proposals will be subject to review (accept/revise/reject) in consideration of previously accepted proposals.

The deadline for proposals is February 28th, 2022.
