The AIESEP Board are launching the inaugural AIESEP Advisory Group.

Over a one-year term, the AIESEP-AG will be a ‘guide on the side’ for the AIESEP Board, offering insights and advice on the strategic direction of AIESEP to help to reach our mission and vision:

We are AIESEP. AIESEP is an international, non-governmental, non-profit, multidisciplinary and multicultural professional association.

We empower a global community of professionals in the areas of sport pedagogy and physical education through the dissemination of high quality, relevant research. We nurture scholarly talent through leadership development and building an innovative and inclusive community.

We lead collective action to promote effective physical and health education, physical activity and sport participation across the lifespan.

In order to obtain trans-sector and transdisciplinary views, the AIESEP-AG will include those who work in core, adjacent or peripheral areas[1] i.e., who are members of AIESEP or members of other organisations who also work in the fields of physical education, sport, and physical activity and those who may work in adjacent or peripheral areas[2].

The AIESEP-AG will have seven members including two AIESEP Board members.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Selection Criteria for Members of Group

The appointee will demonstrate the following:

1. They are established and highly respected individuals in their field/discipline.
2. Their professional mission and values align with those of AIESEP.
3. They are available to actively contribute to shaping the mission and vision of AIESEP.
4. The have high-level expertise in core or adjacent or proximal discipline areas.
5. They are a highly networked individual with considerable professional influence in core or adjacent or peripheral disciplines/areas. 

Please provide the following in your application:

(a) A cover letter outlining your motivation, suitability and vision for AIESEP. Please address how you meet the selection criteria in your letter.

(b) An up-to-date curriculum vitae.

Adjacent = education; etc.

Peripheral = digital technology; climate change; business, etc.

[2] An AIESEP-AG member can be recruited from within or outside the organisation (i.e., they may or may not have AIESEP membership). They will provide a unique advisory lens on the work of AIESEP strategy design, implementation, and evaluation.
