POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Assistant Professor – (Health, Physical Education and Recreation) – Full-time Faculty

Teaches courses in physical education including fitness, kinesiology, stress management, CPR, aquatics, and other PEA activity courses. Additional responsibilities include engagement in scholarly work, student advisement, student outreach, active involvement in recruitment, and marketing efforts for the program. Shares responsibility for college committees and departmental assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions of the department.

Doctorate degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent in Exercise Science, Physical Education, Recreation, or related fields. College teaching experience, demonstrated record of grant writing and scholarly activities, knowledge of curriculum development, understanding of subject level/program level assessment, experience in fitness/wellness promotion, and innovative teaching methods are essential. Experience in personal training, sports management, fitness/ wellness promotion, and proficiency with technology.

Salary: $49,253 – $85,162.
