Specialist Seminar Body Politics in and through Movement

Planning for the ECU_AIESEP Specialist Seminar Body Politics in and through Movement is well advanced! The program brings together researchers and professionals who are leaders in their fields, known for innovative thinking and practice in their work across teacher education, teaching, coaching and leadership of community sport and physical activity. Three inspirational keynote speakers – Dr Jo Pollitt, Professor David Brown and Dr Rebecca Olive – promise engaging presentations and generous opportunities for extended discussions with them across the three days. In themed sessions on each day, contributors from many countries will share their current work, its inherent challenges and insights. In a closing Masterclass led by an internationally acclaimed change-maker and Churchill fellow, Dr Indigo Willing will share applied examples of projects achieving engagement and impact and provide tools for participants to take into their own workplaces and communities.

Whatever career stage you are, the specialist seminar will offer rewarding learning in a supportive environment with colleagues – and of course, important social events and time to enjoy movement amidst stunning blue skies. Located at ECU’s regional campus in Western Australia’s south west, the specialist seminar offers a unique travel opportunity to an awesome part of the world!
