Feeling left out with the cancellation of conferences around the world? Our organization, the International Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Dance and Sport (IAHPEDS) will be running a virtual, (Zoom) Roundtable Discussions Event. The date for this event is Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 9:00 AM (EDT) – 4:00 PM. Presenters from as far away as Asia will be accommodated with favorable presentation times for them.
There will be Zoom meeting rooms for each of our four disciplines (Health, PE, Dance and Sport). Please consider this an invitation to submit an abstract if you are interested in presenting/leading a 20-minute roundtable discussion. This could pertain to research findings or a pedagogical and/or curriculum issue. You can access instructions and submit an abstract on our website at https://iahpeds.org/virtual-round-table-discussions/
If you prefer an email submission, you can submit to Dr. Steven Wright at steven.wright@unh.edu
The deadline to submit an abstract is October 1, 2020. You will learn the status of your abstract within five days time. If/when accepted, presenters will need to pay a registration fee of US$40 for professionals and $20 for graduate students by November 1, 2020. Presenters will also need to be a member of IAHPEDS ($40 for a professional membership and $20 for a student for one year). If you so choose you can register as a non-member and the fee plus one-year membership for professionals will be $80, and $30 for graduate students. All of this can be done on our website. https://www.iahpeds.org
All participants will receive a program schedule and zoom instructions at least 10 days before the event. All presenters will be emailed a participant certificate after the event. Also, all abstracts and power point presentations will be posted on our website within two weeks after the event.
If you have any questions or request for a presentation time slot, feel free to contact Steven Wright at the email above.
The abstract should not exceed 250 words, single-spaced with information concerning purpose, methods, results, and discussions/conclusions, if research-based.
