The Department of Kinesiology of Jacksonville State University’s College of Health Professions and Wellness is seeking to hire a scholar for an Assistant Professor, Master’s in Athletic Training Program.
The Assistant Professor, 3rd core faculty for the Master’s in Athletic Training program, is responsible for didactic and clinical instruction in the MAT (graduate-level) and various HPE (undergraduate-level) courses within the Department of Kinesiology such as biomechanics, therapeutic intervention, general medicine and pharmacology. The primary responsibility is to the MAT program and its athletic training students. This position will assist the MAT Director and Clinical Education Coordinator (CEC) in the comprehensive implementation, operation, and function of the MAT program as needed as well as the Department of Kinesiology as needed. The preferred applicant will have a doctorate in the field of Kinesiology or related field. Terminal degree must be obtained within one year of hire date. Athletic training certification is also required. The position has an anticipated start date of August, 2022.
