Call for AIESEP members to serve on AIESEP BOARD of DIRECTORS (2018-2022)

The AIESEP Board of Directors has 16 members: representatives of institutional members (n = 12) and representatives of individual members (n = 4).  Election of new Board of Directors will occur at the AIESEP General Assembly during the AIESEP 2018 World Congress in Edinburgh July 25-28 2018.  Download and submit the appropriate application form (Form A or Form B) to Mary O’Sullivan AIESEP General Secretary at mary.osullivan@ul.ie before March 23, 2018 if interested.

Expectations for AIESEP Board Members:  Each board member is expected to:

  • bring expertise to the service of AIESEP members to achieve the aims of the association.
  • demonstrate involvement through concrete actions throughout the term of office.
  • ensure AIESEP membership is paid, without interruption, throughout the term of office.
  • participate actively in specific projects assigned by the Board of Directors.
  • promote the association through their national and international networks as well as to defend AIESEP’s interests whenever it is needed or possible.
  • behave ethically and demonstrate loyalty towards the association and its members.

 

Interested in election as an Institutional Member?  Here are the steps to follow

  • Institutions interested in having a delegate elected to the board of directors as institutional members should submit an application form (Form A: Institutional Member), respecting the rules and deadline.
  • The application form should include a brief description of the institution’s involvement in the sport pedagogy field and its past/future involvement in AIESEP’s development.
  • In order for an application from a member institution to be considered, the institution must
    • be a paid member of AIESEP on the application deadline (March 23, 2018) and
    • have been represented by an official delegate during at least one AIESEP activity during the four previous years (2014-2018).

 

Interested in election as an Individual Member?  Here are steps to follow

  • Individual members interested in being elected should submit an application form (Form B: Individual Member), respecting the rules and deadline.
  • In order for the application from of an individual member to be considered, the member must
    • be a paid member of AIESEP on the application deadline (March 23, 2018) and
    • have attended at least one AIESEP activity during the two previous years (2016 and 2017).

 

In order to be eligible to apply to serve on the Board of Directors, member registration and application form must be processed by March 23, 2018
