1st International Conference on the Spectrum of Teaching Styles: Open Call for abstracts
Dear colleagues,
We at the Spectrum Institute for Teaching and Learning (SITL) are preparing to host the 1st International Conference on the Spectrum of Teaching Styles that will be held in Ancient Olympia, Greece, from 6th to 9th of May 2026. Gathering colleagues who work with, teach, or research the Spectrum of Teaching Styles was an idea of Sara Ashworth, and the SITL is committed to fulfilling this vision.
Educators and researchers interested in the Spectrum of Teaching Styles will have the opportunity to gather, present, and discuss their research, thoughts, and contributions on the styles. Furthermore, it will be a unique opportunity for Spectrum colleagues to meet and exchange ideas with others who have dedicated their time to teaching and doing research with the Spectrum.
The official Conference page can be found at: https://spectrum2026.com/. On this website, you will find important information about the Conference, keynotes, how to submit an abstract, etc. Most importantly, you may find useful information on how to plan and organize your trip.
For those participants who have an abstract proposal accepted for presentation (oral or poster), the SITL will cover accommodation, meals, and travel from Athens to Ancient Olympia and back by bus. Additionally, there will be no registration cost associated with this conference. Therefore, the only cost you will incur is the travel to and from your hometown to Athens, and perhaps the time you would like to spend in various historic and attractive locations of Greece before or after the Conference.
Please note that there will be a limited number of participants (~80).
The deadline for abstract submission is October 15, 2025, and final decision on acceptance is December 2025.
If you have questions, please contact the Conference Support email: info@spectrum2026.com.
We thank you in advance for your consideration and look forward to hearing from you.
On behalf of the SITL board,
Nikolaos Digelidis
President of the SITL & Congress Director
