UNESCO has announced the creation of a Chair on Physical Activity and Health in Educational Settings.
The Chair was awarded to the University of Basel, Switzerland. Chairholder is Uwe Pühse. Cheryl Walter of Nelson Mandela University, South Africa, has been appointed Co-Chair.
The purpose of the Chair is to promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation on physical activity and health in educational settings, especially in Africa.
