The United States Sports Academy (USSA) is an independent, non-profit, accredited, special mission sports university. USSA is an all-online university specializing in degrees in the field of sport. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Director of Undergraduate Studies and General Education.
The Director of Undergraduate Studies and General Education will provide instruction in an online setting, undertake administrative activities in the Division of Academic Affairs. The Director will provide academic advising to students and assist with curriculum development and course writing for the general education courses. The Director will also conduct research and writing as needed for professional development and participate in service activities as requested.
The Director of Undergraduate Studies and General Education oversees all educational initiatives and programs related to the traditional general education program, and the general education component of the students’ first year experience in consultation with relevant faculty committees and the first-year advisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
An earned doctorate in Sport Physical Education, preferred, or Higher Education Administration. Must have at least five years teaching and supervisory academic experience in higher education. Evidence of scholarly production is required. Experience in administering academic programs in a non-traditional setting and via asynchronous, on-line delivery is required. The successful candidate must possess demonstrable and developed computer skills.
