We are currently looking for a full-time faculty member to teach in our Department of Health, Sport and Physical Education.
Successful candidates will have significant experience as a practitioner of physical/health/sport education with teaching and leadership experience at the college level. Responsibilities include serving as coordinator of the graduate Sport Education program, and teaching a variety of courses within the department, in particular those relevant to wellness and sport education. Other responsibilities include serving as Chair of the department, arranging and supervising undergraduate and graduate students in HSPE-related internships, creating new programs, assessment and strategic planning, and advising and mentoring students and faculty. The teaching load is 4/4 with release time available for service as Chair.
Applicants must have a terminal degree in a related field and experience teaching at the college-level. Strong candidates will also have administrative leadership experience, effective communication and interpersonal skills, evidence of successful interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence of research in a related discipline. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.”
