Lecturer in Coaching Education

The Department of Recreation & Sport Pedagogy at Ohio University (USA) is accepting applications for a Lecturer in Coaching Education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

(1) teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in both the campus-based and online Coaching Education tracks;

(2) serving as a Cohort Facilitator in the MCE online track;

(3) assessing capstone experiences for students in the Coaching Education program;

(4) engaging in academic advising at the graduate and undergraduate levels; and

(5) providing service to the department, university, community, and profession.

Qualifications: Earned Doctorate in Kinesiology or a related discipline, preferably with a focus in Coaching Education, Demonstrated record of successful college/university teaching experience, Commitment to experiential learning and the use of instructional technology in classroom & online environments, Evidence of coaching expertise in a variety of sports at various developmental levels, and Demonstrated commitment to working with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.

Preference will be given to candidates with any or all of the following: Experience teaching courses such as strength and conditioning, performance analysis, and sport psychology at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, Familiarity with advising and/or mentoring of undergraduate/graduate students in university contexts, Evidence of innovative and effective teaching with adult learners at the graduate level, Knowledge of program evaluation or accreditation, and Evidence of collaboration with other coaches, community sport leaders, parents, and sport administrators.: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
