This two-day conference will bring together teachers, coaches and scholars from around the
globe who use Don Hellison’s Teaching Personal and Social Responsibility (TPSR) model to
promote positive youth development and social change through physical activity.
Newcomers interested in learning about TPSR and joining this community of practice will find
introductory materials and resources that can be previewed prior to the conference.
Through pre-recorded and live, interactive sessions, participants will learn how innovative TPSR programs are for:
• Adapting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Addressing social justice and equity issues.
• Attending to individuals’ social, emotional and mental health needs.
This virtual conference is free of charge and hosted by the Physical Activity and Life Skills
(PALS) Group at Northern Illinois University.
